Heater Plug Conversion Kit

This is a new concept in diesel heater plugs for the series 2 , 2A & 3 diesel engine , namely a sealed element probe type with a parallel wiring system which is fitted (as a set of four ) to replace the current coiled wire filament series wired type plugs . Comprehensive trials have shown several positive advantages particularly with troublesome engines. If one heater plug fails on the stadard filamnet series wired setup then the whole heater plug system fails. With this conversion kit fitted the engine can still be started as the remaing three heater plugs will continue to work. Reoccuring heater plug failure can be due to poor injector nozzle spray or more seriously a problem with the precombustion chambers or injector seating shrouds. The most common fault is just heater plug burn out ! The heater plug resistor wire mounted on the bulkead under the bonnet can also be dispensed with.
